Dr. Byrd served from 1951 until 1985 as
Chairman of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery
at Baylor College of Dentistry.
He was also President of the
Southwest Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons
in 1977.

Dr. Tilson served from 1975-1998 as Chairman of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery
at UT Health Science Center San Antonio
He was also President of the
Southwest Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons
in 1984.
